Setting the application
Suitable materials include compatible granular seed, fertilizer and lawn treatments. Check suitability before using salt or ice-melt products. Granule size, material condition, walking speed and the flow setting affect distribution. Calibrate the spreader with the actual material before treating the full area; do not assume that one numbered setting produces the same application rate for every product.
Use and care
Keep the material dry and free-flowing, and close the feed when stopping or turning where needed to avoid deposits. Do not exceed the hopper’s load limit. Follow the supplied instructions for tire pressure, adjustment and assembly. Empty remaining material after use, clean residues using the method permitted for both the tool and the material, and allow the spreader to dry before storage.
