This Privacy Policy explains how Lawnhood handles personal information when you visit lawnhood.com, contact us, or place an order. Our store serves customers in the United States and is operated from France.
1. Who is responsible for your information?
The data controller is KOVALEVSKA MUDITE, EI, operating the Lawnhood store.

2. Information we collect
- Contact and delivery details: your name, email address, telephone number, billing address, and shipping address when you provide them.
- Order and transaction details: items ordered, quantities, order numbers, prices, payment status and transaction references, shipping information, returns, exchanges, and refunds.
- Support information: messages, attachments, and other information you choose to share when asking for assistance.
- Account information: account details and order history if you choose to use an account feature made available by the store.
- Technical and usage information: information needed to deliver and protect the site, such as IP address, device and browser information, access logs, cart/session identifiers, and cookie preferences where available.
We receive information directly from you, automatically through the operation of the website, and from payment or delivery providers when they report a transaction or shipment status. We do not ask you to send full card numbers or security codes by email. Payment information entered into a payment provider’s checkout is handled under that provider’s terms and privacy notice.
Checkout fields marked as required are needed to process the transaction or deliver the order. If you do not provide required information, we may be unable to accept or fulfill the order. Other information is optional unless the form explains otherwise.
3. Why we use information and the legal bases
- To process and fulfill orders: confirm the order, arrange payment and delivery, handle returns and exchanges, and send transaction updates. The legal basis is taking steps at your request before a contract and performing the contract.
- To provide support: respond to your questions and resolve order problems. The basis is performance of a contract or our legitimate interest in answering enquiries and managing customer relationships.
- To keep business records: maintain invoices, transaction records, and information required by tax, accounting, or other law. The basis is compliance with legal obligations.
- To protect the store: maintain security, diagnose technical faults, prevent misuse and fraud, and establish or defend legal claims. The basis is our legitimate interest in running a secure and reliable business, subject to your rights.
- For optional functions that require consent: where we offer such a function, we request consent before using information or placing non-essential cookies when the law requires it. You can withdraw consent for the future.
Placing an order does not by itself subscribe you to promotional emails. If we offer a marketing subscription, the subscription form explains that use, and you can unsubscribe through the message or by contacting us.
4. Who receives information?
Access is limited to the people and service providers who need information for the purposes described above. Depending on the service used, recipients include:
- Authorized people handling order administration and customer support.
- Hostinger, our hosting provider, and technical service providers needed to operate and secure the website.
- The payment provider you use at checkout, banks, and payment networks for payment processing, fraud checks, and refunds.
- Delivery and return service providers for shipment, tracking, and prepaid return labels.
- Professional advisers, accountants, and public authorities where required for legal or regulatory purposes.
Our store runs on WordPress and WooCommerce. Using that software does not mean every company associated with it receives every order. The specific data flow depends on the services actually used for your transaction.
5. International processing
Lawnhood is based in France and serves customers in the United States. Information may therefore be processed in France, elsewhere in the European Economic Area, and in the United States or other countries used by relevant hosting, payment, or delivery services.
Where we transfer personal data from the European Economic Area to a country that does not provide a recognized adequate level of protection, we use a lawful transfer mechanism where required, such as appropriate contractual safeguards. Contact us for information about the safeguards relevant to your information and how to obtain a copy, subject to permitted redactions.
6. Cookies and similar technologies
Cookies and similar storage can be used to keep your cart, maintain a session, support checkout, remember choices, and protect the site. These functions may not work properly if essential cookies are blocked. Your browser settings let you manage or delete stored cookies.
We do not currently use advertising pixels or cross-site advertising trackers on the store. If we introduce optional analytics or advertising cookies, we will explain their purpose and providers and request your consent before use where required. You will be able to change an optional cookie choice through the consent controls provided with that feature.
We do not sell personal information or share it for cross-context behavioral advertising. The disclosures to service providers described above are made to operate the store and handle your transaction.
A browser’s “Do Not Track” setting does not have a single universally implemented technical standard. It does not automatically disable essential checkout or security functions. You can contact us about privacy choices, and any legally required opt-out signal will be handled according to applicable law. Third-party payment services may process activity within their own payment interface under their own privacy notice.
7. How long information is kept
We retain personal information only for the period needed for the purpose for which it was collected, including applicable legal recordkeeping and claim periods. The period depends on the record:
- Order and account records: while needed to fulfill the order, provide requested account services and support, and manage returns or disputes; relevant records may then be kept in restricted archives for legal requirements.
- Invoices and accounting supporting documents: generally 10 years from the close of the relevant financial year under French accounting rules.
- Support messages: while needed to resolve the enquiry and for any related legal or dispute period.
- Technical logs and session information: for the period justified by the security or technical purpose, then deleted or made anonymous when no longer needed.
- Optional consent-based information: for the stated purpose until consent is withdrawn or the information is no longer needed, subject to retaining evidence of the choice where legally necessary.
8. Your choices and rights
Subject to applicable law, you may request access to your personal information, correction of inaccurate information, deletion, restriction of processing, or a portable copy of qualifying information. You may object to processing based on legitimate interests and withdraw consent without affecting processing already carried out lawfully. Some information must be retained to comply with law or handle an existing transaction or legal claim.
Email support@lawnhood.com with the subject “Privacy request” or write to our business address. Describe the request and provide enough information to identify the relevant records. We may need to verify your identity in a proportionate way. Do not send sensitive identity documents unless we explain why they are needed and how to provide them securely.
We respond within the time required by applicable law; requests under the GDPR are normally answered within one month, with any permitted extension explained to you. Where U.S. state privacy law gives you additional rights, including an authorized-agent request or appeal, you may contact us through the same channel. We will assess the request under the law that applies to you and will not unlawfully discriminate because you exercise a privacy right.
You may lodge a complaint with the French data protection authority, the CNIL, or another competent regulator. Contacting us first does not remove that right.
9. Security and children
We use measures appropriate to the information and the risks to protect it against unauthorized access, loss, or misuse. No internet service can guarantee absolute security. Keep your account credentials private and contact us if you suspect unauthorized activity.
The store is intended for adult shoppers and is not directed to children under 13. If you believe a child has provided personal information to us without appropriate permission, contact us so we can review and address it.
10. Changes to this policy
We may update this policy when our services, practices, or legal requirements change. We publish the revised policy and update the date above. For material changes, we provide additional notice where required, for example through the website or by email, and obtain consent when the law requires it.
